Vi is a text editor extremely powerful command line, although once mastered, it saves our valuable time. One of the shortcomings of Vi, it is not very user friendly and can be used via many keyboard shortcuts. Vi is a text editors preferred system administrators (but also geek), in this post we will summarize some useful keyboard shortcuts to use the tool.

A small oversight, shortcuts for copy / paste lines:
#Y or yy: Copy the current line
#nY: Copy n lines (5Y copy 5 lines)
#yG: Copy the cursor to the end of file
#P: Copy after the cursor (line below)
#p: Paste before cursor (top line)
